Established in 2018, Gourmet Food is a 1800 Sqft and 20. +Ft tall luxury retail and F&B store located in the Iconic "Quad" right at the entrance of Terminal 1, Bengaluru International Airport. Although now dismantled, the structure was designed and erected within a matter of three months. A very interesting project where two partner clients, Ceekay Tea Break and the renowned M. K Ahmed, by M. K Retail, grocery brand decided to invest in this wonderful location. The site has five faces and each face allows a unique facade design opportunity. The facade speaks to the millions of travellers that come in and out of the Airport and invites them to engage with the store and the tasty delights within. Materials used are light-weight: Glass, metal and wood, mainly. This allows easy erection and dismantling of the outlet. The design uses polished pine wood throughout and large glass members. The pine members are homogeneous and placed with a gap of one inch to allow curious passers-by to peep in and get intrigued!
